Meet the Candidates Forum

Sierra Club Winding Waters Group is sponsoring a meet the candidates forum on Wednesday, October 1, 7:00 pm in the Red Room of the Bartholomew County Library.  Candidates will be asked for positions on important environmental issues for our community.

Sustainable Tuesday Dining Events Sponsored by Sierra Club

Sustainable Living Fair

Saturday September 27, 1:00 to 9:00 pm, Mill Race Park, Columbus, Indiana

The purpose of the Sustainable Living Fair is to communicate the importance of “living green” and living sustainably by saving money and resources now and for future generations.  Vendors with sustainable products and ideas, earth\eco friendly products, local products, recycling ideas and information, and sustainable transportation will be participating.    The Sustainable Living Fair will be inside the Driftwood Valley Music Festival and will be open Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 1pm – 9pm.  Come to learn about ways you can "live green" and use sustainable practices in your daily life while enjoying the food and music.  Vendors will have information and products for sale.   Door prizes will be drawn throughout the day.  You must be present to win.    Tickets to Saturdays event are $10 and will be available at the gate.   Children 5 and under are free.  Tickets include admission to both the Driftwood Valley Music Festival and the Sustainable Living Fair.
