Join us for a guided tour of the first building in the U.S. to be renovated using the highest standards for green technology available. Opened in 2002, the CCGT occupies a building originally built in 1952, with the site later used as an illegal dump for construction debris. After winning a lawsuit, Chicago's Department of Environment received the property, cleaned up the site, and remodeled the building for their offices and as a model of efficiency and a path for learning about green building techniques.
