"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." John
Muir
The Sierra Club is America's oldest and largest grassroots
environmental organization. It was founded in 1892 by John Muir, who is
called the "Father of our National Parks."
Meetings are at the Krull Tower
Community Room at 206 Main Street in downtown Hobart at 7 p.m. on the
third Wednesday of each month. During summer, we may meet off site, so
please check your newsletter or call Sandy O'Brien, Dunelands
Conservation Chair at 942-2956 or Dave Ellis, Dunelands Group Chair at 730-7913.
Since we have such a
great influence on nature, we also have a great responsibility to care
for it. Our members work hard to protect our air, water, wildlife and
natural areas for ourselves, for our children, and for their
children.
