Details: Flatrock-Haw Creek Watershed: Our Winding Waters group is hosting a Hoosier Riverwatch training workshop on March 9 from 9-4pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Columbus, Indiana. This is a great way to learn about the water quality in local creeks and streams. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to donated an hour of their time the last Sunday of every month to collect water samples at various sites in and around Columbus. As you know the quality of water in our community is very important. We are working together with the Hoosier Riverwatch to monitor non-point pollution in our streams. This is from run-off from fields, yards and businesses. anyone who may be interested can contact me at 378-1280 ext 3. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for your time. Also there is no obligation to actually monitor if someone is interested in just attending the free workshop. [Jenny Whiteside FRHC Watershed Coordinator] |
