New Coordinator Hired by Chapter Office

The Hoosier Chapter has hired Jennifer Cannon as a part-time office coordinator. She will handle the duties necessary for the office¹s operation.

An Indianapolis resident, Jennifer owns a business specializing in pet portraits and wildlife and nature photography. Jennifer, an experienced photographer, started her business this year as a career change and also was interested in finding work related to the environment. She sent a resume to the Chapter office, which had a vacant position.

Previously, Jennifer's love of animals and the environment led her to pursue degrees in the natural and physical sciences. She possesses a B.S. in Chemistry, a B.A. in Biology, and a minor in Math from Purdue University.

Over the past four years, Jennifer has worked at Indianapolis laboratories as a lab technician, an environmental analytical chemist, and a quality assurance officer. She has experience in PCB, pesticide, and herbicide analysis as well as water quality and soil testing. Jennifer has taught outdoor education to children, holding classes about ornithology, wetlands, and habitats.

"My overwhelming concern is the rapid destruction of natural habitat," Jennifer said. "I want to make a difference by contributing to efforts to save, restore, and protect our natural heritage."
