Local Leader Wins Award Ed Paynter, long-time leader in both the Hoosier Chapter and Heartlands Group, received the Sierra Club's 1997 Susan E. Miller Award.
He was nominated for the Miller Award by several volunteers, who cited his leadership during the recent restructuring of the Club. Mr. Paynter was presented with the award at the Clubıs annual dinner, held in San Francisco. Mr. Paynter is a past chair of the Heartlands Group and the Hoosier Chapter and serves on several Club-level committees.
