New Mexico Wilderness Presentations in Indiana in October

In southeast New Mexico rests America's wildest remaining grassland, Otero Mesa. At over 1.2 million acres (nearly the size of Delaware), Otero Mesa offers some of the most pristine Chihuahuan Desert Grassland left anywhere in the world. Shamefully, Otero Mesa is part of a long list of Western wild public lands threatened by irresponsible oil and gas drilling.

The New Mexico Wilderness Alliance is committed to keeping Otero Mesa wild and free. Successful since 2000, this campaign now needs strong national support to ensure federal protection for this national treasure. The New Mexico Wilderness Alliance is a non-profit 501 C3 grassroots environmental organization dedicated to the protection, restoration, and continued enjoyment of New Mexico's wildlands and Wilderness Areas.

In October, Nathan Small of the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance will be touring through Indiana. Equipped with free gifts, slideshows, salsa, and action opportunities, Nathan looks to raise support for New Mexican wilderness and America's wildest public lands. If you or your group is interested in hosting a New Mexico Wilderness Alliance presentation, please contact your group leader or Nathan at (505) 463-2031. For more information, visit or
