Sierra Student Coalition Offers Summer Training

From July 8-15, the Sierra Student Coalition will hold a summer training program (called “Sprog”) at Père Marquette State Park in Grafton, Ill. The coalition is looking for Midwest high school and college students who want to help build the Midwest into an environmental powerhouse.

The cost of the program is $165. The deadline for signup is March 15. Send an e-mail to Charlie Fredrick, Midwest Sprog Director, answering the following questions (between 200-500 words): Why are you interested in attending Sprog? What do you hope to gain after spending a week with us? What environmental topics would you like to see discussed? What have you been up to? (campaigns/issues you’ve worked on or are interested in) What will you be bringing to the table (skills, energy, creativity, and so on)?
