Conference Celebrates Healthy Farming and Healthy Food
The annual Old McDonald Conference cosponsored by the Hoosier Chapter featured wonderful speakers and locally grown food, juice, and wine. The event raised awareness of confined animal feeding operations, sustainable food choices, and food safety.
Attendees celebrated what farming and eating need to be if we are to have clean water, clean air, and healthy people.
Southern Indiana’s Huber Orchard and Winery provided the featured wine selection. In addition to Indiana wine, the food served was seasonal and raised by independent Kentucky farmers growing organic, antibiotic, and hormone-free catfish, bison, beef, pork, goat, chicken, and other products.
